PREVALÊNCIA E FATORES ASSOCIADOS À SÍNDROME DA FRAGILIDADE EM IDOSOS INSTITUCIONALIZADOS: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA

O objetivo deste estudo foi sistematizar o conhecimento produzido acerca da prevalência de Síndrome da Fragilidade em idosos institucionalizados. A busca da literatura foi realizada nas bases de Lilacs, MEDLINE® e PubMed®, entre 2014 a 2020, por meio dos descritores: “Aging and Homes for the Aged and Frailty”. Foram incluídos 20 artigos, nos quais foram utilizados dez instrumentos diferentes para avaliação da Síndrome da Fragilidade. A prevalência variou de 19,9% a 85,7%, e o valor médio estimado foi de 58%. Os fatores associados em maior proporção nos estudos foram: idade avançada, sexo feminino, polifarmácia, comorbidades, défice cognitivo e quedas. A prevalência Síndrome da Fragilidade foi elevada, e os fatores associados encontrados direcionam o plano de cuidados para a prevenção ou o controle da Síndrome da Fragilidade em idosos institucionalizados.
